I am a Chartered Psychologist (BPS) and a registered Counselling Psychologist (HCPC) offering therapy to individuals from a diverse range of cultural, social and religious backgrounds. I work integratively and interactively which means that I incorporate a range of models of therapy that I am trained and experienced in to make sense of and work with a client's difficulties.
I have several years of experience working with different client groups across a wide range of settings including the NHS, private and charity sectors.
I initially trained and qualified as a Registered Nurse at the University of Victoria before pursing my training as a Counselling Psychologist. I hold an MSc from the University of Westminster and completed my Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology at City, University of London.
I have extensive clinical experience and specialist skills in delivering evidence-based psychological interventions as recommended by NICE (National Institute for Health & Care Excellence) to adult clients struggling with a range of psychological difficulties and mental health problems. In particular I enjoy working with clients who are living with chronic or acute illness, phobias, stress or anxiety and depression. I have additional interests in supporting individuals in coping with grief and loss, emotional regulation, self-esteem, and confidence.
In addition to my role as a highly specialist cancer Psychologist in the NHS, I hold a research fellowship exploring the impact of COVID on clinically extremely vulnerable individuals.
